Both archived data and new acquisitions will be used to fulfil users' orders as per Data Warehouse Phase 2 Data Access Portfolio (DAP). In addition to the capabilities of other currently available C-band sensors (multi-resolution, multi-polarization, night and weather independent), RISAT-1 is the first of its kind to include a circular polarization mode, opening new horizons in terms of land and ocean feature detection and characterisation.
KSAT has extensive experience within the use of satellite data for operational monitoring, having provided detection services for more than 20 years. Due to the unique global ground station network, KSAT is able to collect satellite data from anywhere in the world shortly after time of acquisition and with in-house processing equipment for multiple satellite missions, including RISAT, provide the data in near-real time.
KSAT has successfully developed the standard interfaces to the Coordinated Data Access System (CDS) for the delivery of EO data to CSCDA and will, as the only reseller and distributor of RISAT-1 data outside India, be provider of Risat-1 data to Copernicus users.
