Through its subsidiary Kongsberg Protech, Kongsberg Gruppen has signed a contract with the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organization/Land. The contract is an expansion of an existing contract from MNOK 25 to MNOK 65 for delivery of weapons control systems for installation on armoured personell carriers. A number will be used on the Army's M113 vehicles. This type of vehicle, with equivalent weapons control systems, has been in service for the Norwegian Army in both Kosovo and Afghanistan. In addition, a number of the new systems will be installed on the Air Force's new vehicle of the type "Tactica" from Alvis Vickers. It will primarily be used for destruction of mines and other explosives.
