The SESAME Straits project utilizes e-Navigation concepts to reduce maritime traffic congestion and hot spots, as well as improve traffic safety and efficiency. Leading up to the recent Singapore Maritime Technology Conference, the project conducted a successful demonstration in close collaboration with Maritime and Port Authority in Singapore.

Important agreements and events in the first quarter of 2017

In the first quarter, KONGSBERG has revenues of NOK 3,721 million and EBITDA of NOK 339 million. During the first months of the year the long-term potential within defence has been confirmed, and several important agreements for maritime and digital solutions have been signed. At the same time certain markets are still challenging.

Germany Chooses Groundbreaking KONGSBERG Integrated Vessel Concept for Advanced Newbuild Research Ship 

KONGSBERG has signed a contract with the German ship builder Fassmer for the delivery of a unique technical solution for the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) research vessel Atair II. The solution is based on KONGSBERG’s ground-breaking Integrated Vessel Concept.

The Australian Government has announced that a National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) solution will be developed for the Land 19 Phase 7B project – the Ground Based Air and Missile Defence capability for the Australian Army through a Single Supplier Limited Tender process to Raytheon Australia.
