Two new LNG orders to Kongsberg Simrad

Kongsberg Simrad has signed two more contracts for automation systems for LNG tankers. The contracts result from the exercise of options attached to the main order that was signed just over a year ago with IZAR, the Spanish shipyard group. The aggregate value of the two contracts is about MNOK 37. The exercise of the options reflects IZAR's satisfaction with its close co-operation with Kongsberg Simrad.

Both vessels will be built in Spain; one in Bilbao and the other in Cadiz. Vessel number two is being made for the Spanish shipowner F. Tapias, but the other owner's name has not yet been made public.

Kongsberg Simrad currently has orders for 12 automation systems for LNG tankers. A significant number of options are associated with these contracts.
